Tower of Babel
Tower of Babel is a card and block set, designed to advance children’s multilingual vocabulary.
The Swahili edition exposes children to the Swahili language by learning African animals’ names along
with fun facts about each of them.

Name and Logo
When designing the logo I wanted to incorporate the traditional African patterns, but keep the mark simple enough to be recognizable when shrunken down or enlarged.
Icons
I felt a hand-done illustrative style would not only represent a
native African folk art feel, but also have a childlike energy.
Product Design
Although this is a product designed to attract children’s attention, I limited myself to a black and white color palette. Having a limited color palette forced me to concentrate on the energy of the illustrations and letterforms.
